Bank’s representative: , Horace , Karl , Fiona, Tim

  1. Winnie introduced her team. HKU’s investment are divided to long term and short term investment. Winnie’s team is responsible to manage the short term working capital. Its investment scope includes fixed deposit and high grade bonds (with maturity less than 7 years)
  2. Karl introduced bank’s GM products including FX products, rates products and bank’s CD/structured deposit. For bond investment, client mentioned that HKU can invest both public and private bonds while issuer ratings are required if the issuer is not in HKU’s white list. HKU currently may not have immediate need for fix-floating rate products as its major capital expenditure project is delayed.
  3. HKU has capital needs for its new Pokfield Road campus and currently it has obtained bilateral facility limits with some banks for this project. While HKU has no clear finance needs as the project is currently delayed, bank is willing to provide a credit line to meet HKU’s ad-hoc capital needs.
  4. Horace introduced bank’s full capability on transaction banking products. HKU currently has a dormant CNY saving account. Client is interested on opening CASA accounts for better short term liquidity management.
  5. Fiona shared bank’s recent success deal with HKMC on its social sustainable bond issuance. bank has a strong capacity to underwrite a large DCM deal and can provide good certainty for bond distribution.
